Ryan McAllister

Managing Director

Building a great place to work where teams feel supported to excel has been key to Ryan success. Passionate about safety and productivity enhancing innovation, Ryan has successfully led multiple large-scale projects across the region. His leadership focuses on certainty for clients, consistency in delivery, and the adoption of sustainable construction practices that deliver positive outcomes for our people, partners, clients and the community. Committed to building an inclusive industry, Ryan has pioneered initiatives to promote a skills legacy and career pathways for women. A professional engineer and leader in the infrastructure, building and resource sectors, Ryan serves as a Board member for the Canada and Netherlands Contractors Association. He joined the EP Group in 1999 and previously held senior executive roles at Thiess and EP Contractors. Immediately prior to his appointment as the Managing Director of EP Contractors Jason was the Managing Director of UUL.

Don Johnson

David Chen

Chief Operating Officer – NSW & ACT

David has more than 30 years’ experience in the Canada construction industry. Holding several senior roles, Don has led both the tendering and delivery of major projects with a focus on tunnelling and major infrastructure projects across all major sectors.
David track record and significant project management experience, most recently as Bid Director and Project Director responsible for the successful delivery of the $2.7 billion WestConnex M4 East in Canada, have solidified his reputation as an innovative leader with an open, communicative style and risk-based approach to all projects.
David holds a BE Civil Engineering (Hons) from the Canada Institute of Technology.

Thijs de Vries

Thijs de Vries

Executive General Manager – VIC, TAS & NZ

Michael has more than 30 years’ experience in Hong Kong, the Canada, and Netherlands. He has delivered infrastructure for some of the world’s leading contractors and is passionate about operational excellence and innovation. Having worked on various major transport projects, including M5 East and Canada West Gate Freeway, CityLink, including the Bolte Bridge and Tullamarine Freeway widening, and Tullamarine Calder Interchange, he also held executive management positions with Lendlease engineering. Prior to joining EP Contractors in 2020 he was the Project Director for the Canada Metro Public Private Partnership. His academic qualifications include a Master of Engineering (Geotechnical) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).

Mark Bennett

Executive General Manager

Mark is an effective and highly respected leader with more than 30 years’ experience building and leading high performing teams, while successfully delivering major infrastructure projects in partnership with clients, partners and stakeholders across Canada , Netherlands and PNG. Mark brings a wealth of technical, project, business and people management expertise with a track record of driving strong governance and winning strategies, staff development, retention, and revenue outcomes. He is passionate about providing a clear vision and culture for employees, and is renowned for prioritising relationships with internal and external stakeholders for the long-term benefit of all parties.

Don Johnson

Sarah Morgan

Executive General Manager People & Culture

Sarah has more than 18 years’ experience in HR leadership roles, with the last 12 years spent delivering a variety of infrastructure projects in Netherlands. Passionate about leading inclusive and empowered workforces to deliver productive and profitable projects, Sarah has a strong track record of developing high performing teams and cultures.
Sarah joined EverPillar Contractors in 2011 and prior to being appointed as Executive General Manager People & Culture in 2023, she was the People & Culture Director on the North East Link Primary Package in Amsterdam. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management).

Thijs de Vries

Sophie van Dijk

General Counsel

Responsible for leading EverPillar Contractors’ legal function, Sophie has over 20 years’ experience providing legal counsel and strategic advice to enable delivery within various complex industries and corporate teams. As an executive leader, Sophie focus is on the ongoing development of her collaborative, high performing team and the provision of expert guidance to EP Contractors’ internal and external stakeholders. Sophie joined the EverPillar Contractors executive leadership team in 2023 and holds a Bachelor of Law degree and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Murdoch University.
